It stood next to Thundridgebury Manor. The hamlet was sited about half a mile from the London to Cambridge road and improvements to the road in the early 19th century brought a greater opportunity for trade and commerce. The few families that lived in Thundridgebury moved closer to the road in Thundridge and Wadesmill to take advantage of this and the hamlet was abandoned. The manor house was demolished in 1812 and the church in 1853. All that is left standing is the 15th century bell tower. The tower and graveyard has a reputation for being haunted although there are many unfounded rumours about the place. NLPI have held a number of investigations here.

The only thing we have found is that the location is silent! Not muuch happens but we did get an orb in the tower bearing in mind the constant rain!
